Start with the glove and the cleats
Bring a glove that is already broken in - a stiff glove out of the box will fight you all week. Cleats plus a pair of turf shoes or sneakers covers everything from infield work to conditioning on the warning track. Catchers, bring your own gear; it is the one piece of equipment we cannot swap in for you.
Dress for a long day in the sun
Baseball pants or athletic shorts, a t-shirt, a belt, and a hat that actually fits. Add sunscreen and a second shirt - by the afternoon block, the first one is soaked. If mornings run cool, throw in a light pullover for warm-ups and take it off once you start moving.
The little things campers forget
A full water bottle, a real snack, and a small notebook. The notebook is the one campers underrate - you will get specific coaching on your swing or your delivery, and those cues fade by the drive home unless you write them down. Put your name on every bat, glove, and helmet you bring.
